The rules

Community guidelines

How we expect members to write, comment, answer and behave on Thailand Story Hub, and what happens when they do not.

Last updated 01/08/2026

Write from experience

The hub is built on first-hand accounts. Say where you were, when, and what you saw. Do not present rumour, AI-generated text or copied travel-guide copy as your own experience.

Respect Thailand and the people in your story

Name places accurately. Ask before photographing someone recognisable. Never mock religion, the monarchy, poverty, or someone's language.

Publishing rules for stories

Editors return work that:

  • Is thinly disguised advertising or affiliate content
  • Reveals someone's address, workplace or phone number
  • Contains sexual content involving anyone under 18, or any doubt about age
  • Is plagiarised, or uses images the author has no right to publish

Comments and answers

Answer the question that was asked. Disagreement is welcome; contempt is not. Repeated personal attacks lead to a suspension without further warning.

Meet Thailand

Members-only, 18+, and no commercial or transactional contact of any kind. The dating safety guide covers this in detail.

What happens when rules are broken

First a removal and a note explaining why. Then a temporary suspension. Then permanent closure. Anything involving minors or credible threats skips straight to closure and, where appropriate, the authorities.
