What data Thailand Story Hub collects, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and the control you have over it.

Last updated 01/08/2026

What we collect

We keep the smallest amount of data that lets the hub work.

  • Account data: email address, display name, username, country, date of birth
  • Content: stories, comments, questions, answers, reactions and bookmarks
  • Meet Thailand data: dating profile, photos, likes, matches and messages
  • Technical data: session tokens, and aggregated page and story view counts

What stays private

Your email address and date of birth are stored in a separate private table that only you and the safety team can read. Private messages are never shown in analytics, never used in email notifications, and never indexed.

Why we hold it

To run your account, publish your work, deliver notifications you asked for, keep the community safe, and meet legal obligations around abuse reports.

Your rights

From your account settings you can:

  • Download a copy of your data
  • Correct your profile details
  • Turn off any non-essential notification
  • Delete your account, and choose whether your published stories are deleted or anonymised

Retention

Deleted accounts are removed within 30 days. Abuse reports and moderation records are kept for 12 months so repeat behaviour can be recognised.
